Sunday Snippet: Celebration at Midnight

Well, July kind of blew right by. It's been a busy month with a lot going on and that always makes the days seem to speed along.

Had a decent week finishing up a work project and making some solid headway on a couple of my personal projects. This is on top of having one kid in NYC and another that landed in the ED then got admitted to the hospital for three days and two nights. Thankfully, he's doing okay.

Actually got a lot of viewing completed also. I'm currently watching The Force Awakens. It's kind of a rewatch, but I haven't seen the whole movie from start to finish … ever. I've always come in at weird random places so I've seen the whole thing, but not in chronological order. I'm strange that way.

Also caught another episode of The Brokenwood Mysteries. This one had a very interesting twisty mystery and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Watched the second half of Silent Witness and kind of loved where it ended up going. I like the way the two-part episodes are playing out right now.

Enjoyed another episode of Classic Who. Ace keeps growing on me. I love her as the companion for the Doctor. There's way less screaming, which is a bonus.

Caught another episode of Most Terrifying Places in America. This one focused on ghostly encounters and I enjoyed it.

Watched another episode of Moon Knight. Honestly, I kind of love this show. It's a little campy, which keeps the darker aspect of the storyline in check. It works for me and I love it.

Ended up enjoying another episode of The Hardy Boys. There are a lot of twists and turns this season and some have worked better than others. Joe truly annoyed the crap out of me but I think they might pull all that together by the end of the season.

Caught another episode of Peak Practice. I ended up enjoying the less soap-operaish storyline this week.

Enjoyed another MasterClass lesson with Roxane Gay. This week she talked about revisions, editing, and proofreading. I love that phase of writing and I loved what she had to say about her methods. She's also not a big fan of the phrase kill your darlings. I've never liked that one and it's nice to have someone like Roxane say she doesn't either.

Watched another episode of The Babysitter's Club. I'm honestly so disappointed there won't be another season of this show. It's really coming together in this second season.

Caught an episode of The Ready Room. This one featured Shazad Latif and I completely enjoyed the interview. He had some great insight.

Enjoyed the second episode of Driven. Tawny can die in a fire and that would make me really happy. Not sure I like the dude or, well, possibly dudette following Riley. Becks makes me very happy. I love this series so much.

Watched another episode of Chicago Med. I'm so surprised Will kind of shut Natalie down. Not that it wasn't deserved, but I was surprised nonetheless. Glad to see Maggie might not lose Ben. I'm seriously not sure what the hell is going on with April. Should be in for some interesting future episodes.

Caught another episode of Batman: The Animated Series. This is probably my all-time favorite animated show ever. I'm happy I'm rewatching again.

That's pretty much it for the life update this week. Tonight's post is from Celebration at Midnight, a novella featuring one of my favorite trios—Presley, Gunnar, and Frazier—for a New Year's Eve tale.

Here's the mini-blurb:

Presley, Frazier, and Gunnar finally have New Year's Eve off at the same time and plan to celebrate with a quiet evening at home. Two days after Christmas Gunnar is shot trying to bring in a felon and Frazier's fire department gets the call. Presley is on duty in the emergency room when the men come in and the trio comes face-to-face with their personal lives mixing with their professional careers. Once Gunnar is in the clear, they have even more reason to celebrate at midnight.

And a snippety peek…

Presley Griffith entered the kitchen to find her men, Gunnar Stewart and Frazier Boyle, with their heads together by the coffeemaker.

She cocked her head. "Is this a private conversation or can anyone join in?" She had to make sure because they had a habit of pulling surprises out of their asses around the holidays.

First with Gunnar and Stewart giving her the merriest and brightest Christmas ever two years ago—they'd been a committed trio since then—and then when she'd bought a secluded bed and breakfast and found a brownstone to share with the men the following Christmas.

The guys glanced over their shoulders; Frazier giving her cheeky grin and Gunnar gracing her with a slow smile. Her thumb brushed over the interlocking trio of bands on her ring finger—the best gift ever from her guys. She loved them each more than anything.

Gunnar handed her a mug. "Anyone can't join but you can." He took a long gulp form his cup.

She arched a brow. "Because?" She loved the playful vibe coming from the men.

Frazier turned and propped his hip against the counter. "We aren't getting Christmas together this year, but we all have New Year's Eve and Day off. We were talking ideas." His uniform shirt hung open and he started doing up the buttons.

Gunnar gave a nod. "Yeah, stay in or find a party? O'Malley's has a few spots left and the Silver Dagger is doing this rooftop thing with heaters and fire pits for the countdown." He finished his coffee and rinsed out the mug.

Frazier tucked his shirt in. "What's your preference?" He met her gaze with raised eyebrows.

Presley shrugged. "If I get to choose, let's stay in. Do something quiet and intimate with just us." She loved going out with the guys but since they'd finished the large renovations on the brownstone, she enjoyed spending time in their home.

Gunnar and Frazier did a quick high-five.

Gunnar grasped her hand and tugged her forward. "We were hoping you'd say that. Fraz is handling the food. I'm going to take care of getting some adult beverages. And we want you to work your magic and create a theme for the evening." He dropped a kiss on her nose. "If this becomes a tradition, we'll swap responsibilities next time."

Her heart warmed. They went above and beyond giving her new things to look forward to.

She wrapped an arm around Gunnar. "I'm loving this already. I'll come up with something." Easing away from Gunnar, she gave Frazier a quick hug. "This is a great idea."

He flashed a grin. "Let me know when you decide on the theme. I'll plan the menu around it." He grabbed his wallet and phone. "Gotta head out. We're dropping off the last load of gifts from the toy drive." He leaned in and caught her lips in a quick, hard kiss. "Love you." He gave Gunnar a nod and headed out the back door.

Gunnar reached for his jacket. "I have to head out, too. I've got a briefing with a task force this morning." Shoving his arms into the coat, he cupped her face and slanted his mouth over hers.

She wrapped her arms around him and sank into the embrace. Gunnar moaned and slipped his tongue past her lips. He lingered for a moment, conducting a leisurely exploration before easing away.

Brushing his thumb over her cheek, he lifted his head. "I love you, Pres." He gave her one more kiss before turning to grab his phone from the counter.

She walked with him to the door. "I love you, too. Have a good one." She waited until he got in the car before stepping away from the window.

Refilling her mug, she took a seat at the table, several ideas popping into her mind. "Hmm. I'm thinking pajamas and a blanket fort, just for something fun." Bringing the hot brew to her mouth, she blew across the top.

Of course the blanket fort will be sexy.

This trio has my heart. I have such a great time writing their dynamic and following the progression of their relationship.

That's it for this week. Happy reading!

Sunday Snippet: Camden General

Whew. What a day. But I had a great week. I'm getting ready to start a very exciting new project and moving along on another one. I also got to spend three days with one of my friends at a gorgeous Airbnb not far from where I live.

Actually stayed pretty much caught up on my regular viewing schedule—watching ahead a little definitely helped.

Started a new Classic Who arc and kind of enjoyed the storyline. Looking forward to seeing what happens this week.

Watched another episode of Most Terrifying Places in America. This one had Devil's Playground as the title and it kind of fit based on the anecdotes.

Caught the second episode of Moon Knight and enjoyed it. I like the series so far and look forward to another episode.

Enjoyed another episode of Harrow. I have two episodes left and I'm pretty interested in seeing how they play out. I loved the mention of the two big bads from the earlier seasons. I'm glad someone finally kind of connected those dots.

Watched another episode of Blue Heelers and things took a turn I didn't expect, which is always fun. Looking forward to the next episode.

Completed another MasterClass with Roxane Gay. She focused on research this time and, again, I got some good ideas from her lesson.

Caught another episode of The Babysitter's Club. I like the new girls and I love how much growth Christy showed. Actually, all the girls showed some growth and it's terrific to see.

Enjoyed two more episodes of Classic Rugrats. Oddly, they were very Angelica-centric which I didn't remember.

Watched an episode of Chicago Med and enjoyed it, even if it ended up being a little soap-operaish. I did like the way the storylines played out.

Finished up the opening epsiodes of Batman: the Animated Series. Looking forward to really diving back into this series.

Started season three of Driven, a Passionflix original series. Terrific premiere episode. I'm excited to see where things go from this point.

Also caught another episode of The Snoopy Show. This one had a great mix of the characters and each vignette had great humor.

That's pretty much it for the life update. Tonight's post is from Camden General, a novella where a shared loss brings two of the emergency department together.

Here's the mini-blurb:

Jayden and Whit, two of Camden General's best emergency department staff, come together after losing a patient. Trying to navigate the fallout becomes even more difficult when their one-time hookup turns into a very personal relationship.

And a snippety peek…

Jayden glanced at the clock. "Time of death 2217." Her gut twisted when she said the words.

She'd give the new guy credit. He never gave up. First night on and they lose their patient—his first one in his new role. Her heart broke a little. She hated hit and runs. Two hours of nonstop work—plugging up one injury only to find two more.

She removed her gloves and waited until Wendy and Whit met her gaze. "Tough loss, but you two did a stellar job trying to save her." The staff at Camden couldn't be better.

Wendy nodded and went back to disconnecting the monitor. Whit lifted his chin and turned to start cleaning up the debris from their efforts. Neither nurse spoke, which Jayden appreciated. She had to get her head on straight.

Her shoulders slumped. Now the hard part. Telling the family. She'd been in that position once when a kind-faced doctor delivered the news that her mom didn't make it.

Exiting the trauma bay, she went to Millie. "Is her family here?" Millie gave a nod and indicated her husband and parents were in the waiting area.

Jayden took a steadying breath and went out to greet the trio. She led them to a private consulting area to deliver the news and give them some time.

She sat across from the husband. "I'm very sorry. We did everything we could to save your wife." She looked toward the parents. "And your daughter."

The solemn doctor sat in the chair next to Jayden. "I'm sorry. We couldn't save your mom." He glanced at her head. "Are you doing okay?" His fingers touched the bandage where a different doctor had put stitches in along her hairline.

Jayden gave a nod, tears dripping down her cheeks. "My head hurts and I have to wait for my grandma. Daddy's not home right now." Her fingers plucked at her pants, a small tear from when her leg caught on the door showing her knee.

Doctor Barns took her hand. "Let's see if there's anything in the lounge. You could probably use something to drink and maybe even a little something to eat. If you're feeling up to it." He led her down the long hallway and into a room with chairs and tables and nurses bussing about.

And he stayed with her until her grandmother arrived. Something Jayden would never forget.

She spent time answering questions from Mary's husband and her parents then gave them some space and time to collect themselves before they left.

When Jayden left the room, she flagged Millie down. "I'd like to take a few minutes. Do you need me for anything?" She had to get herself together and work through her childhood memories.

Millie waved Jayden off. "We're good, Dr. Betts. I'll page you if we need you."

Jayden could've hugged Millie in that moment. Instead, she found an empty assessment room and closed the door before sinking down on a stool close to the wall. Leaning her head back, she let the tears fall.

I love writing relationships that start on a weird note. Jayden and Whit truly fit that mold.

Sunday Snippet: Call of the Ripper

Kind of a weird week in flux. I keep getting a lot of stuff done but more things get added to the plate. Not complaining, the timing is just odd.

Had a solid week of viewing. I'm kind of jammed schedule-wise this upcoming week so I'm hoping to stay on my semi-normal schedule by watching ahead a little.

Got to watch two episodes of The Snoopy Show. This season seems a little less seasonal and I'm okay with that.

Started the new season of The Brokenwood Mysteries. As usual, an excellent premiere episode. Familiar faces with the secondary characters, which I completely love.

Finished up the second half of a two-part Silent Witness and started a new episode. This season is off to a roaring start with good episodes.

Watched the final episode of a Classic Who arc and should be starting a new multipart one this week. Hoping the daleks are gone for a bit.

Caught another episode of Most Terrifying Places in America. This one focused on cursed towns and ended up being more interesting than I anticipated.

I started Moon Knight and thoroughly enjoyed the first episode. My brother highly recommended the series and I'm excited to talk about it with him.

Watched an episode of The Hardy Boys and the danger is amping up. My one complaint for this season would be how the Fenton storyline is playing out. I'm also very iffy on the whole Joe plot points. I'm hoping there's a good explanation for why he's being a little butt.

Enjoyed an episode of Peak Practice. I have a feeling the next episode might have a lingering issue left over from this one.

Caught another MasterClass lesson with Roxane Gay. She talked about her writing tools and I got several good ideas from her.

Got the first episode The Babysitter's Club season two in and enjoyed it. This is a charming show and I'm sorry there's not going to be another season after this one.

Watched an episode of The Ready Room. The interview with Sonequa Martin-Green ended up being so terrific.

Enjoyed an episode of Chicago Med. I'm kind of wondering what's going on with April. I think the writers sell her short and that makes me sad because I love her character.

Finished up Tangled, a Passionflix original. I'll be starting season three of Driven this week and I'm looking forward to it.

I've started a rewatch of Batman: the Animated Series. I'll probably be doing a bunch of DC Comics shows, specifically Titans and Doom Patrol, in the near future. Again, my brother highly recommended so I'm giving them a whirl. But I have to start with my all-time fave, which is Batman: TAS.

Started a new-to-me series with the Agatha Christie Hour. The first episode ended up being enjoyable so I'll continue on. Looking forward to another episode.

That's pretty much it for the life update this week. Tonight's post is from Call of the Ripper, a modern-day romance with suspense elements added from the legend of Jack the Ripper.

Here's the mini-blurb:

Two 'Ripperologists' take a working vacation to experience the essence of Jack's madness. But when a modern day stalker takes an interest in their excursion, the call of the ripper hits a little too close for comfort.

And a snippety peek…

Sean removed his key from the lock and pushed his way inside the house. He'd barely cleared the foyer before Faith darted out from the living room and pounced.

After giving him a quick kiss, she spun away and whirled to grab her phone. "Can you do a video? My head is swimming with visuals from the letters." She opened the app they used.

He blinked. "Hi, Faith. We got the job with the Adders, thanks for asking." He held up takeout bags.

She gave him an owlish look. "Shit. Sorry. Got wrapped up in my blog posts and research and totally forgot about the Adders." Her face flushed and she took the food. "When do we start? And please don't be pissed. My brain is like a game of pong lately." Putting the takeout down, she grabbed a couple of plates.

Sean laughed. "I'm not mad, more grounding you back in reality. We start next week on cataloging their inventory." He helped get the meal plated up and settled across from her. "Let's eat and we'll do the video after?" He scooped up some lo mein and added some sesame chicken.

Faith dug into her rice and gave a nod. "That works." She poured some duck sauce on her eggroll. "I want some feedback from our regulars on the maps. Maybe they'll have some ideas on how to mesh the old with the current locations."

Sean chewed slowly, turning the idea over. "Yeah, okay. Maybe we can start with a quick rundown of what you posted. Did you add the images to your social media accounts?"

She shook her head. "Not yet. I can cross post and then add the video. I want to do real-time comments if possible. That way we can maybe work with the maps and get a better idea of where things are in Whitechapel."

He liked the way her brain worked—even when it pinged all over the place. "That's a good plan. Cross posting afterward will also open things up but the real-time comments should be golden." If he knew Faith, she'd end up creating a three-dimensional mock-up with her graphics program to share with their audience.

Faith nodded. "That's what I was thinking." She toyed with her food. "The math nerds will have fun figuring out the exact—or as closely as possible—locations of where the bodies were found from the historical map then move that to the current ones we have now." She set her chopsticks aside. "I'm can't wait to see what the modern grid looks like."

Sean finished up his meal and pushed away from the table. "I'll get the room ready. Let's use my phone. I'll tether the laptop and maybe get some screenshots of the comments when they come in." He paused a moment. "Want me to help clean up first?"

She shooed him away. "Nope. I'll get this then be right in." Gathering up their dishes, she started rinsing the plates.

Sean cocked his head, studying her for several seconds. Energy all but oozed from her pores. He loved the quiet intensity she had for the things she cared about it. By tomorrow, she'd be focused on the Adder project and putting together spreadsheets for their household inventory and getting preliminary estimates in case they decided to go to auction.

But she'd dive back into the depths of Whitechapel in her spare time.

And she'd probably have the nightmares to show for it.

This story took a few tries to find its footing but I'm so happy with where it's going. It doesn't dive too deeply into Jack the Ripper lore but having that as the backdrop adds exactly what I've been looking for.

That's it for this week. Happy reading!

Sunday Snippet: The Cabin

Crazy week with projects finishing up and new ones starting. I love the variety of editing work I have right now.

Pretty decent week of television. I got caught up and back on my regular schedule for the most part. I have a few new recommendations and I have to decide if I'm going to work those shows into my weekly viewing calendar.

To start things off this week, I caught an episode of The Ready Room with a recap of season two, episode nine. This was such a great one. I always love when the interviewee is a huge fan of the franchise.

Watched two episodes of Chicago Med. I'm a little disgusted by Nat's storyline even if I'm thrilled to bits that she kicked Philip to the curb. I'm so glad Maggie finally told the others what's going on with her. Nice to see Noah kind of stepping up and growing in his role as a resident. I love this show.

Enjoyed an episode of The Snoopy Show. I kind of like it when they let Snoopy act like a dog and enjoy things like head scratches. So much fun.

Caught the bonus episode of Signora Volpe with behind the scenes cast interviews. I'm hoping there will be another season of this show because I really love the characters.

Watched a well-done first-parter of Silent Witness. This arc is very twisty and turny. I have a solid idea of who the killer is and why they're trying to set up Nicki. Can't wait to find out if I'm right.

Enjoyed an episode of Classic Who. Ace is rather fun and I like how she handled the betrayal. This is another episode kind of set in the fifties and that always interests me because it was such a thing in the late seventies and early eighties.

Started season three (because there is no season two) of Most Terrifying Places in America. This one focused on haunted road trips and I liked the change in the format. I'll finish the series out before starting something new.

Finished the first season of The Mandalorian. I truly loved it! Now I have to decide if I'm going to dive right into the next season or start a new show and wait until it's closer to season three. Stay tuned.

Caught an episode of Harrow and, whoo boy, the walls are closing in. James is a big, fat liar—about everything. Nichols is completely in the know and it kind of breaks my heart because Harrow needs friends and he might have burned a bridge here. I still completely dislike the boss person even though they tried to soften her up by giving her a kid. Sorry, not buying it.

Watched an episode of Blue Heelers and loved it. A very young Sullivan Stapleton guest starred and the storyline rocked. Good stuff.

Enjoyed another MasterClass with Roxane Gay. She discussed the writing process in this lesson and I took away some good information.

Also caught two more episodes of Classic Rugrats and took another trip down memory lane. This show played such a huge role in my kids' childhoods. Makes me happy to reminisce.

That's pretty much it for this week's life update. Tonight's post is from The Cabin, a novella that features a bit of a sibling rivalry with a twist.

Here's the mini-blurb:

Whip meets the woman of his dreams when he tries to convince Kari to give his brother another shot at her art class. But when she can't accommodate the request, Whip still wants to pursue a relationship … until his brother tries to get in the way and Kari decides she won't come between them.

And a snippety peek…

Whip liked Kari Kells. She didn't mince words but she didn't go out of her way to be as blunt as she could have been. The shit show his brother turned in deserved the rejection letter.

Shaking his head, he shoved the work back into the portfolio. "I'm sorry. I've completely wasted your time here." He zipped the file and tucked it under his arm. "I'll be having a long conversation with my brother…" He paused when he glanced up to find her studying him. "But, er, not today. I need some time to cool down. Right now, I want to thump him."

Kari laughed and, holy crap, she lit up. He wouldn't call her cute and pretty didn't quite cut it. Gorgeous worked and not in an intimidating way. She had an open beauty that made her approachable.

Geez, listen to me. Get a grip, man.

Kari lifted her chin. "I'd suggest not being too hard on your brother, but he needs to know I can't make room." Her lips quirked. "Even if he sends in the big guns in an attempt to change my mind."

Whip blinked. "Is that a compliment?" He sounded stupid, but, shit … he'd been out of the dating game for a long time.

Then again, how long had it been since he'd been interested in going out with someone? He definitely had more than a passing curiosity here. Sparks all but flew between them.

Kari gave a nod. "Definitely a compliment. And I'm trained to recognize a work of art when I see one." Her lips curved in a sly grin.

Whip huffed out a breath. "Well, thank you. I'm a little out of practice with the whole flirting and banter thing. Between work and Warner, I don't have a lot of time." He met her gaze. "But I want to make time if you'll have dinner with me tonight." He winced. "What I mean is, I'd like to do something to make up for my brother's blunder and I'd really like to get to know you better."

Kari tilted her head to one side. "What about Warner? Will he be included?"

Whip snorted. "Hell, no. Warner can fend for himself." His brother needed to step up and act like an adult.

Kari reached for a notepad. "In that case, why don't you give me a call later today and we'll figure something out. I have class until six." She tore the page off and handed it to him.

Whip took the number and tucked it into his shirt pocket. "I'll do that." He grinned. "I'll look forward to it." With a quick wave, he headed for the door.

Once he got outside and into his vehicle, he quickly keyed her number into his phone.

Staring at the screen, he chuckled. "Hot damn. I have a date."

I love having a family dynamic and this one is going to be fun to explore. Whip wears a lot of figurative hats and he's going to add one more.

That's it for this week. Happy reading!

Sunday Snippet: Bedroom Chronicles

Wow. June flew by in a wild blur. Half the year is gone and I'm kind of wondering where it went. July and August are going to be fairly busy with some time off in each month that I'm not quite ready for but probably need to recharge.

Didn't get as much television watched this week. I struggled to get through a new-to-me show and probably won't finish it.

I watched an episode of The Snoopy Show and finished the first season. All in all, an enjoyable watch. I'll start the second season this week.

The show I struggled with is Resort to Murder. I think because it got a somewhat slow start and the pacing is slower than I like. I might revisit this one at a later date.

Watched another episode of Silent Witness and liked where it ended up. The story took a somewhat expected twist and I loved it.

Caught another episode of Classic Who. The daleks are up to their usual insane plots and I kind of like Ace as the new companion.

Finished the first season of Most Terrifying Places in America. Oddly, the next season is three and I can't find a second season … so there's that weird twist.

Almost finished with the first season of The Mandalorian. This show makes me happy. I haven't decided if I'm going to go right into the second season or if I'll wait until the third one is ready to launch. Stay tuned.

Caught another episode of The Hardy Boys and enjoyed it a lot. Things are getting very twisty and turny and I'm here for it. Looking forward to the next episode.

Thought I finished the first season of The Babysitter's Club, but I have two more episodes to watch. I started episode nine and look forward to seeing what Camp Moosehead has in store for the group.

That's pretty much it for the life update this week. Tonight's post is from Bedroom Chronicles, a novella that brings a new dynamic to an established couple.

Here's the mini-blurb:

When Birk musters out of the military, he drops in on his best friend, Klint and his wife Elsie. They welcome Birk into their home and eventually their bed because Elsie can't think of anyone better than her husband's oldest friend to fulfill their deepest fantasy. But sometimes the best laid plans go awry and dealing with the fallout is a challenge.

And a snippety peek…

Elsie removed her fingers from the keyboard and leaned back in her chair. "Shit. That might be the hottest thing I ever wrote." She usually didn't write the sexy stuff when she didn't have Klint home to relive or reenact the fun scenes.

But a deadline loomed and she couldn't put off finishing the chapter. Especially when she didn't know how long Klint would be gone. Squirming in her seat, she cursed his absence.

Occasionally, she used Big Bob, the vibrator Klint nicknamed. Big Bob wouldn't do today. God. She needed a big, hard dick pounding her pussy, her ass, her mouth—she didn't care which. She wanted the sexual high from a nice, sweaty fuck so she could come back and focus on her work.

She growled with frustration. "Dammit. What a time for Klint to be gone." Her nipples tingled and her core throbbed with need.

She avoided looking at her monitor, but her imagination replayed the steamy scenario she'd written. A very dirty thought popped into her head…

Maybe she didn't have to wait. "Klint's not home but Birk is." Rising from her chair, she leaned forward and saved her file then closed her laptop.

Birk's car sat under the canopy of leaves provided by the big oak tree outside. Elsie left her office and strode through the house, heading to the back door. What about your promise to always be inclusive? The promise also included changing things up when they were ready.

She couldn't wait. With only one conscious thought, Elsie found herself standing outside Birk's apartment above the garage. Nervous tension filled her when she knocked. Birk answered, wearing a T-shirt and cargo shorts.

She didn't give him time to speak. Grabbing his shirt, she planted a steamy kiss on his lips. Birk grabbed her ass and brought her close. His dick wedged between them and she wanted it. Now. Her palm massaged the length and it grew hard and heavy.

She broke the lip-lock. "I want your cock. I don't care where. Just let me have it." She popped the button of the cargos and dragged the zipper down. Shoving the fabric past his hips, she licked her lips when his erection jutted outward long and proud. She fisted the stiff shaft. "God, please fuck me." Nothing loving or tender about what she asked for.

Birk resisted. "This is so not a good idea." His gaze raked over her, trying to gauge what had her so hot and bothered.

Elsie shook her head. "Probably not, but I don't care." Her free hand inched up under his shirt, spreading out over his torso.

Caught up in the lust of the moment, she didn't want to think overly hard about what they were doing. Birk's mouth worked, no doubt making an attempt to talk her out of what she wanted most right now. Letting go of his dick, she grabbed the hem of her shirt and yanked it over her head. Her breasts bouncing free, she cupped one and rolled the nipple with her fingers. Birk's breath hissed out and his eyes went dark. Elsie used her free hand to push her shorts down then kicked them free.

She turned to the side, pushing her ass outward. "Are you really gonna turn this down?" She faced him again, moving her palm to play with her other breast.

The other hand skimmed over her stomach, going lower to delve between her legs.

Birk's eyes closed and his breath whooshed out. "God damn."

Elsie let a smile curve her lips and she lifted her glistening fingers for his perusal. "See how badly I need you right now?"

Birk growled and grabbed her hand, sucking the digits between his lips, licking the essence from them. "Man … you're hot right now."

Elsie nodded. "I'm hot for your cock, Birk." She wrapped her fist around the hard shaft again. "Are you gonna give it to me?" She sent him a pleading glance.

This scene went way hotter than I anticipated but Elsie had definite ideas of how she wanted it to play out.

That's it for this week. Happy reading!
